Michelle is, first and foremost, God’s girl. She is blessed to be a wife and mother who processes life through writing. Michelle loves the mountains and outdoors, though she lives in the plains of west Texas. She believes in living passionately, loving deeply and laughing often. She draws encouragement from Psalm 46:10 which says, “Be still and know that I am God.” With a wide smile and a gift of mercy, Michelle looks for the hand of God in every moment. Unnamed Women of the Bible: Lessons of Value, Belonging, and Worth is her first book.
After completing her degree in Psychology, Michelle entered the corporate world where she proceeded to hate every minute spent there. Turning to her love of counseling and sports, she obtained her teaching certification to become a high school teacher and coach. For six years, she poured into student athletes, enjoying the successes they found. Michelle left education for a weight room where she worked as a personal trainer.
As a personal trainer, Michelle began to see the importance mindset has on one’s health. Using her gifts of discernment and wisdom, she offered clients different perspectives and challenged them to think differently both in and out of the gym. She enjoyed working as a trainer, but felt something was missing. During this time, Michelle began working with a life coach to find the spark missing in her own life. She found her spark is to encourage and equip leaders and to help women find their own life’s purpose. You can interact more with Michelle on her personal site, Sparked Living.
